Relevansi Studi Islam dalam Menjawab Tantangan Globalisasi dan Modernitas

This article aims to identify and analyze how Islamic studies can address the challenges of globalization and modernity. Globalization has had a significant impact on Islamic education, including easy access to information and the emergence of innovation, but it has also raised challenges such as the erosion of local culture and the dangers of the internet. Islamic studies play an important role in strengthening morals, developing critical thinking, and providing solutions to spiritual crises1. Through the integration of Islamic values in the curriculum and the use of technology, Islamic education can equip the younger generation with the ability to adapt to changing times without losing their Islamic identity. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach to analyze various relevant sources. The results show that Islamic studies have crucial relevance in guiding Muslims to face the challenges of globalization and modernity while adhering to religious values. Islamic education needs to continue to innovate in order to produce superior and highly competitive human resources in the global era.
