Abstract

Among the many languages, Arabic has unique features in terms of structure, vocabulary, and rules. According to students in the seventh grade at SMP IT Insan Mulia Batanghari, many students have difficulty reading as well as speaking, writing, and listening. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze the factors that make learning Arabic complicated for students in the seventh grade at SMP IT Insan Mulia Batanghari. Such research is referred to as qualitative research. The data was gathered for this research using a descriptive-qualitative methodology that included observations, interviews, and documentation.

The results of this research show that students in the seventh grade at SMP IT Insan Mulia Batanghari have difficulties learning Arabic due to issues related to their academic backgrounds, textbooks, teaching methods, and environmental factors. The biggest efforts that need to be made to address the Arabic language difficulties faced by students in the seventh grade at SMP IT Insan Mulia Batanghari are guidance, textbooks that are appropriate for students' abilities, attention, creating a pleasant environment, and creating a good learning environment.
