Abstract

Leunca (Solanum nigrum L.) is one of indigenous Indonesian plants that has potential as an insect killer. One of the plants that can be utilized is the leunca (Solanum nigrum L.) containing glycosalytoids in young fruit that are toxic. Two main toxins in glycosaloid, namely solanine and chaconin. High levels of glycosalide can cause bitterness and poisoning in animals and humans. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of leunca extract dosage variation (Solanum nigrum L.) to mortality larvae house fly (Musca domestica L.). To know the dosage of leunca fruit extract (Solanum nigrum L.) giving the best influence to mortality larvae house fly (Musca domestica L.). To investigate the effect of leunca extract (Solanum nigrum L.) on mortality larvae house fly (Musca domestica L.) can be utilized as learning resource form SPW (Student Practicum Worksheet). The research design was Randomized Complete Design (RCD), where experiments were performed with 1 control and 4 treatments and 6 repetitions respectively 10 larvae of house fly (Musca domestica L.). The dosage of extract which used in this study were 0% (control), 5% (dosage 1), 10% (dosage 2), 20% (dosage 3), 40% (dosage 4). The parameters observed were mortality of house fly larvae (Musca domestica L.). The results of the research were tested by one-way non-parametric known as Kruskal Wallis test. The result of mortality test that has been done show the result X2 count 27,13> X2 table 19,68 at α 0.05 at chi-square table, so it can be concluded that there is effect of Leunca extract (Solanum nigrum L.) to mortality larvae of house fly (Musca domestica L .). The most effective concentration was shown in dosage 40% with the number of dead larvae house fly of 88.3% or 53 tail. The results of validation of learning resources indicate that in the form of student practicum worksheets developed eligible to be used as a source of biology learning.
